Peace Through the Cross
Colossians 1:19–20
“19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.”
It’s difficult to think of the cross during Christmas. Why? Because we see the fragility and tenderness of a child juxtaposed with the terrible, yet wonderful reality that the death of Jesus brought life to every soul in humanity. Jesus was born to bring life but it was through His death that new life would blossom. Jesus made peace through His blood. Christmas leads to Calvary — where peace was purchased.
