The Promise of Hope

Genesis 3:15

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

We’re only three chapters into the first book of the Bible, and we find the struggle between good and evil, life and death, God and Satan. At first glance, all hope seems lost. We can’t put what’s broken back together again. Adam and Eve make a choice that will change humanity forever. Yet even in the garden’s fall, God speaks redemption. The seed of the woman would crush evil. Hope was born in the same breath as sin, and so it is with us.

Prayer: Lord, thank you that hope begins where we least expect it, even in our brokenness.
